About the Project: Obscura conceived and produced the media and software for a 5-floor 70-foot tall redwoods installation for Accenture’s offices in Salesforce Tower. The installation receives real-time weather data and displays one of seven redwood scenes that corresponds with the weather conditions outside. The scenes range from full sun, partly cloudy, fog, rain, overcast, golden hour, and evening. 

The redwoods footage was shot at two locations in Santa Cruz and Crescent City using a drone and Phase One camera. Post effects were added to create subtle movement of branches, lighting effects, and supplemental foliage.
